Auditions Continue for #3

Now that Thanksgiving has passed, I’m spending some of my weekend break working in the studio on things that involve sewing.  In addition to digging out the choir stole pattern for some readers, I’m continuing to audition fabrics for the current piece.  This morning I’ve finished the sunglasses, and I’m moving on down the sections.  If all goes well, I’ll have an update photo at the end of the day.  Here’s where we stand at 10:30AM CST.

But enough of that… time to get back to it!

I vote that you leave the right sunglass lens as is, and do not unsew it. I’m digging the head scarf completely. Not sure about the brownish red at right-front placket (of course, what the heck do I know?), but loving all the other reds in the Jenny O Sweater.

The brown is supposed to be hair… Maybe that needs an edit out. Thanks for the feedback. Might have to forgo the hair for more sweater. Is that like More COWBELL???

I agree about the brown. But I suspect it will look like hair when you quilt in some vertical lines that will contrast to the lines of the sweater. Especially if the hair around the face is the same fabric(can’t tell from the photo posted). That will give it the continuity it needs.
That’s my two cents worth and you know how much that is worth!

What do YOU think?
