My Quilts
This page has quilts that I have made myself. Unless stated otherwise, the images and quilts are © by Jennifer A. Sanborn.
Ruth said “Let us Quilt”

© 2009, 36 inches by 40 inches, machine pieced and machine quilted of commercial cotton fabrics and cotton batting. This was made using a block pattern © by Ruth B. McDowell, from her book Pieced Vegetables.
Raizl Makes Music

© 2009, 24 inches by 28 inches. Machine pieced and machine quilted of commercial cotton fabrics and cotton batting. Private collection.
Japanese Gardens Series, IX & X
These two quilts were based on photographs I took in Shofu-En, the Japanese garden in the Denver Botanical Gardens. X is on the left, IX is on the right. While there was a significant time lapse in when I started these and when I finished IX, they were meant to be hung together. The fact that these don’t look like even rectangles is more due to my poor photography than the shape of the quilts.
Japanese Gardens X: Shofu-En Shoka
© 2004, 26 inches by 34 inches. This was machine pieced, machine appliqued, and machine quilted, using commercial cotton fabrics and wool batting.
Japanese Gardens IX: Shofu-En Shinsetsu
© 2001, 25 inches by 34 inches. This was machine pieced, machine appliqued, and machine quilted, using commercial cotton fabrics and wool batting.
Varenna
© 2001, 58 inches by 65 inches. This was machine pieced, machine appliqued, and machine quilted, using commercial cotton fabrics and wool batting.
I based this quilt on a photo I took in Varenna, in the Provincia di Lecco, Italia. It is Lago di Como in the background, looking toward Bellagio.
